I’m Carla, a keen runner and lover of all things fitness related. I have always been this way and I want to ensure everyone who is encouraged by an active lifestyle can get out moving too.
We find inspiration and motivation around us in all forms, if my blog can encourage just one person to maybe go out for a little jog when they normally wouldn’t then it would make me over the moon. I love sharing my story as I continue to seek new challenges all the time.
So lets cover the basics.
I grew up in Cornwall so I was lucky enough to have countryside all around me. Since the age of 12 I have always played football for my local team. I even went on to play rugby for Cornwall but the injuries meant I stopped when I got to university. Running has always been a huge part of my life, I have ran a half marathon every year since 2013 but in 2018 I stepped up the game after entering the London Marathon. As my pace got faster, races got more frequent and the weekly miles got longer, I started working with my strength coaches. Two years on and I now also have a running coach. I have really enjoyed my fitness journey so far but I feel like things are just getting started. Fast forward to August 2020 and Carla Moves was born.
As I continue on this journey to reach my fitness goals and encourage others to do the same, I want this blog to document the steps.
I will strive to run faster, be stronger, travel often and move always.
